Garfield Heights police officers involved in 2 accidents in Cleveland, Accident Investigation Unit called to the scenes

Officials tell 3News at least three people were trapped in one of the cars involved.

CLEVELAND — Editor's note: The video in the player above is from an unrelated story published on June 2, 2021.

The Cleveland Police's Accident Investigation Unit was called to the scenes of two accidents on Harvard Avenue involving Garfield Heights police officers who were engaged in a pursuit.

According to officials, three people were trapped inside of one of the vehicles involved in the first accident, reported near Lee Road and Harvard Avenue.

Police also told 3News that a driver in one of the accidents has a broken leg and a possible gunshot wound to the leg. 

All parties involved have been transported to University Hospitals for treatment. 

No other information is available at this time.
