CLEVELAND -- The weather may not be cooperating, but bike season is here and riders are ready to roll.

This Saturday marks the opening day for the Erie Canal Towpath and Cleveland Foundation Centennial Lake Link trails.

Rails to Trails Conservancy, the nation's largest trails organization, is hosting an event Saturday to celebrate the start to the biking season.

The free event starts with a kickoff ceremony at the Cleveland Rowing Foundation at 1003 British Street in Cleveland at 11 a.m. Registration is 10 a.m.

Activities, which last until 2 p.m., include self-guided walking and biking tours of the trails, a social ride led by Ohio City Bicycle Co-Op, a scavenger hunt of historical sites and tours of Brick and Barrel Brewing Company and the Ohio City Bicycle Co-Op building. There will also be snacks provided by Merwin's Wharf.

An after-party will take place at Brick and Barrel Brewing Company.
