Suspected drug dealer crashes in Southwest Cleveland following police chase

The incident occurred near W 44th St. and Storer Ave.

A vehicle pursuit involving the Parma Heights Police Dept. ended when the suspect crashed in Southwest Cleveland around 7:30 p.m.

According to Parma Heights authorities, officers were called to a home to administer narcan to a woman overdosing on drugs. Once they arrived, the woman's mother pointed to a man sitting in a car, stating he was her daughter's ex-boyfriend and that he had sold her the drugs.

Once the officers approached him, the suspect sped away, eventually leading police on a chase all the way to W 44th St. and Storer Ave. in Cleveland. It was at that spot where he ran a red light and struck another woman's car.

Officials tell WKYC the suspect "seemed" fine, but was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center as a precaution. They also found narcotics in his car, which possibly contained fentanyl due to his ex's overdose. Her condition is unknown.

The woman whom the suspect struck was uninjured in the crash.
