Investigators in Parma Heights are trying to sort out the facts after two 'badly decomposed bodies' were found in the 6200 block of Nelwood Road on Wednesday.
Authorities are treating the case as a possible double homicide.
According to Captain Steve Scharschmidt of the Parma Heights Police Department, officers were asked by the family of Regina Capobianco to check on the welfare of the 50-year-old just before noon.
When police arrived, they discovered a body inside the house. After getting a warrant and securing the scene, they located a second body inside the home. Both were termed as 'badly decomposed.' Investigators told WKYC Channel 3's Chris Tye that the bodies may have been there for 'a month or more.'
A Hazmat team was on the scene to help deal with the disturbing odor that was inside after the bodies were discovered.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation were at the scene throughout the evening. No formal identification has been made as of yet, although investigators told Tye they suspect that the bodies are those of Capobianco and 65-year-old John Mann.
