Man accused of wild Seven Hills Airbnb party pleads not guilty

He's accused of throwing a rager that led to thousands in damages.

The man accused of throwing a wild party at a Seven Hills Airbnb rental home has pleaded not guilty via a fax from his lawyer.

Twenty-year-old Isaiah Shahid turned himself in earlier this month after he threw a massive New Year's Eve party that resulted in thousands of dollars' worth of damage. Shahid rented one room inside the home for $40 for a maximum occupancy of five people. Instead, hundreds showed up.

When police arrived, there were too many cars parked around the house. Seven Hills police had to call additional departments from Broadview Heights, Parma, Independence and Brooklyn Heights.

Damage from the party is estimated at $3,600, though a carpet specialist said replacing the carpet would be about $8,000, according to homeowner Sangmyung Lee.

Shahid is facing charges of illegal sale of alcohol, disorderly conduct, alcohol-related offenses involving underaged persons and occupancy of a private place involving underaged persons.
