Bedford Police are investigating after a man was struck by a train on Friday morning.

According to reports, officials from Norfolk Southern called Bedford Police around 11:15 a.m. notifying them that one of their trains had struck a pedestrian on the tracks in the area of Bedford Glens and Willis Street.

The victim was located approximately 250 yards south of Bedford Glens near Tim Lally Field Park. He was found conscious and breathing and was transported by Bedford EMS to MetroHealth Medical Center.

His condition is unknown.
