BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The Bainbridge Township Police responded to a call of shots being fired Tuesday night about 9:30 p.m. on Kingsley Drive.

Police Chief Jon Bokovitz said officers found a man in a work shed behind his home on Kingsley Drive and began speaking to him.

Bokovitz said the man fired one shot so officers set up a perimeter around the shed.

A short time later, according to Bokovitz, officers were able to verbally have him voluntarily come out of the shed unarmed. Officers then took the man into custody.

Bokovitz said the man was injured during the arrest and taken to University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center for evaluation.

Bokovitz said the case remains under investigation and no charges have been filed. No police officers were injured during the incident, according to Bokovitz.

Bokovitz added that there is no danger to the surrounding community as a result of the incident.
