The man who shot two police officers at a Willoughby Hills car dealership was arrested and charged upon his release from a medical rehab facility Tuesday.

Timmothy Scott Schmidt, 30, shot two Willoughby Hills police officers at Classic BMW on Sept. 28 after the officers were called to the dealership for an irate customer. Schmidt reportedly was at the dealership to have his car serviced and became enraged over his bill, pulling a gun on employees.

Schmidt was also shot during the exchange of gunfire with the officers.

On Tuesday, Schmidt was released from a medical rehabilitation center in Cleveland and arrested on warrants stemming from the shooting.

Schmidt is charged with two counts of attempted aggravated murder of a police officer, four counts of felonious assault of a police officer and resisting arrest.
