WILLOUGHBY HILLS -- The wreckage has been removed from the fatal crash site in Willoughby Hills where a small plane went down late Monday night.

After inspecting the physical layout of the crash Tuesday, officials with the National Transportation Safety Board moved the plane to a hangar for closer investigation.

The 1999 Cessna Model 172R crashed moments after takeoff from the Cuyahoga County Regional Airport around 10 p.m.

The four men aboard the plane -- all Case Western Reserve University students --were killed.

Authorities say their investigation could take months as they look at the plane's wreckage to the pilot's flight history.
