NORTH RIDGEVILLE -- Police have arrested two men in connection with the shooting of an Avon woman in North Ridgeville.
Christian Donovan Martinez, 20, of Lorain, and Jonathon Damire Barnette, 21, of Lorain, are both facing attempted murder charges.
The shooting occurred Jan. 4. near the intersection of Bender Road and Taylor Industrial Parkway. Police say Martinez and Barnette were working at Multi-Link on Ternes Avenue in Elyria, which connects to Taylor Industrial Parkway.
Police say Martinez shot 54-year-old Jacqueline Dienes as she sat inside her car during her lunch break. Martinez fled as a passenger in an SUV driven by Barnette.
Martinez was arrested Jan. 5 on unrelated domestic violence charges. Barnette was arrested Thursday night in Lorain.
Police say they have not established any direct connection between Dienes, Barnette and Martinez.
Dienes was listed in critical condition at MetroHealth.
