A two-year-old girl died Sunday after apparently drowning in a relative's pool in Lorain.

According to police, the child was at her grandparents' home on West 39th Street when she suddenly went missing. Her grandmother and uncle, who also live at the home, soon removed the cover of the above-ground pool, where the girl was discovered face-down in the water. She was not breathing.

Her grandfather attempted to revive her using CPR until police arrived. The officer on scene wrote that the girl "had vomit on her and had turned a shade of blue."

The officer attempted further CPR before the girl was taken to Lorain Mercy, where she was later pronounced dead.

The incident is still under investigation, although authorities believe this was "a tragic accident."

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the girl's family pay for her funeral.
