ELYRIA, Ohio -- An investigation continues after a fire destroyed College Heights Baptist Church.

Firefighters don't believe it was intentional, according to the report released Tuesday afternoon by Elyria Fire Department.

"The origin and cause of this fire is Undetermined at this time and is currently under investigation by the Elyria Fire Prevention Bureau. There were no reported injuries to civilians and firefighters. As of this date the evidence does not indicate that the cause of this fire is incendiary."

Firefighters were called out to the scene shortly after 7:12 a.m. Saturday at 980 N. Abbe Rd. The church was fully engulfed in flames.

It took about an hour to contain the fire.

Derrell Deer, the pastor of the church, says nobody was injured and that they'll continue church services at another location.
