Elyria car salesman leaves customer derogatory voicemail

The voicemail was left while the woman took a car for a test drive.

An Elyria car salesman is under fire, after leaving a voicemail message calling a costumer the n-word.

Andrea Reed she says it’s a voicemail she’ll never forget.

"I don’t give a f*** I won’t sell her the d*** car, f***ing n****** their all a bunch of f***ing… (murmur) sorry I’m an a**hole I can’t help it."

That was the vulgar message left on Andrea Reeds voicemail. After taking a car from Sheffield Automotive for a test drive.

"For him to feel comfortable to call me those names in front of other patrons is ridiculous." said Reed.

Reed who was looking to purchase a car for her 15-year-old son says she saw an ad online and gave the owner, Brian Griffith, a call then went to check it out. She told him she was going to take it to show her husband.

“He said no I don’t think this is the car for him right now we’ll continue our search so I said ok I’ll take it back to Mr. Griffith, never knew probably at that time leaving that voicemail,” said Reed.

Reed said she was gone all of 20 minutes and received calls from Griffith, but she missed them because her phone was in her purse.

" I’m f***ing pissed... Huh no they won’t answer their f***ing phone huh that’s not the point (we can come back tomorrow). The next n***** that pulls on this f***ing lot gets kicked out of here," said Griffith in the voicemail.

We spoke to Griffith over the phone and he tells us she was gone longer than 20 minutes.

“She took my car for two hours she wouldn't answer the phone, again I’m not trying to justify my behavior not for a second: I blew up,” said Griffith.

“I did lose a little bit of sleep behind it but I hope and pray he gets that hate out of his heart," said Reed.
