The Chronicle-Telegram reports that Jeffrey Miraldi is the son of Lorain County Judge John Miraldi.

Police say Miraldi drove Cody Snyder to University Elyria Hospital after a shooting that occurred around 8:30 p.m. on January 23. Snyder was pronounced dead shortly afterwards. 18-year-old Kajuan Anderson and two other teens are facing aggravated murder charges.

The Ford Focus driven by Jeffrey Miraldi is registered to John Miraldi.

Both Miraldi and Turner were in the car with Snyder when he was shot. Turner intentionally left the hospital and went home to Middleburg Heights with Snyder's cell phone. She was tracked down by Elyria Police detectives two days later and admitted that she was concerned that the phone had data that would get her and Miraldi into trouble. She was taken to Lorain County Jail and held on a $10,000 bond.

Detectives arrested Jeffrey Miraldi on Friday afternoon and is being held on a $200,00 bond. Investigators discovered that Miraldi was uneasy about a drug transaction and borrowed a firearm from an acquaintance. After the fatal shooting of Snyder, Miraldi got rid of the gun.

Elyria Police Captain Chris Constantino says additional charges are likely to come in the next few weeks.
