The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies has reaffirmed The Cleveland Metroparks Ranger Department for a second year.
Of the 189 standards reviewed by the CALEA, The Metroparks Ranger Department earned a perfect score for maintaining superior public safety standards.
The accreditation process includes file review, facility inspections, public call-in-session and more.
The Ranger Department was established in 1921, and now compromises more that 23,000 ares of land.
Rangers are on duty 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.
