Woman arrested after stabbing co-worker at Streetsboro assisted living facility

A Ravenna woman is in custody after assaulting a co-worker at a Streetsboro assisted living facility on Sunday night.

Streetsboro Police received a call just after 10:00 p.m. reporting a stabbing at the Gardens of Western Reserve Assisted Living facility on Greentree Parkway.. Police found a 19-year-old employee had sustained severe lacerations after a fight with fellow employee,19-year-old Emilie Brunswick.

Brunswick fled the facility before officers arrived, but was found by police at a family member's home in Aurora. She has been charged with Felonious Assault and was taken to the Portage County Jail pending arraignment.

The victim was taken to University Hospitals Portage Medical Campus in Ravenna and was released on Monday. Her injuries will require follow up care.
