JACKSON TOWNSHIP -- Police have arrested four people in connection with an armed robbery at a house in Jackson Township.
The homeowner called for help just before 8 a.m. Friday morning and gave officers a description of the getaway vehicle.
Police located the vehicle on Konen Avenue a short distance from the robbery scene and arrested three people. A fourth suspect tried to run but was taken into custody a short time later
The fourth suspect was taken into custody at 10:47 am, at Traphagen and Erie Street, NW, following a traffic stop. A fifth adult was also taken into custody on outstanding warrants out of the Columbus area.
A police report was released later Friday with more details.
At 7:54 a.m. Friday, three men and a 16-year-old entered a residence in the 5100 block of Konen Avenue, NW, armed with handguns, the report reads.
The men assaulted the homeowner and held him against his will and demanded money. The four suspects fled with items of a small monetary value.
They drove off in a stolen motor vehicle, taken from the Columbus area, were encountered by responding officers at Konen, south of Kennebuck. Four handguns were recovered.
The four adults were booked into the Stark County Jail and the juvenile was booked into the Faircrest Attention Center. They are:
- Joshua A. Jordan, 18, of Columbus
- Keelon M. Willis, 18, of Columbus
- Omar Malik Wiley Ndoye, 18, of Columbus
- A 16-year-old from Columbus
- Delijah Isiah Peart Ross, 18, of Reynoldsburg, who was arrested on outstanding warrants out of the Columbus area
