JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The Bureau of Criminal Investigation has arrived at the scene in Stark County after authorities have issued a statewide endangered child advisory for a missing 5-year-old girl.

Ashley Zhao was last seen at Ang’s Asian Cuisine restaurant in the 4900 block of Portage Street NW Monday night.

Authorities say there is no evidence she was kidnapped, having previously declared she may have wandered out the restaurant's back door.

WKYC's Amani Abraham reports the Ohio Bureau of Crime Investigations arrived on the scene around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Law enforcement officials say they are concerned for Ashley's safety, which is why they're asking for the public's help in finding her.

She is described as 4 feet tall and weighs 35-40 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Ashley was wearing a purple coat with gray leggings when she went missing.

Multiple law enforcement agencies have joined the search for Ashley.

From what police know, the girl went to the back of the restaurant around 4-5 p.m. to lay down. When her mom went to check on her around 9-9:30 p.m., the girl was gone.

Anybody with information is asked to call the Jackson Township Police Department at 330-834-3960 immediately.
