You may have heard of the phrase: "The grass is always greener on the other side."
At one Copley home, that saying comes to life.
Ramon Pardo, a 17-year-old Revere High School student, asked for a snow making machine for Christmas about three years ago. Since then, he's been making the white stuff.
“My husband and I are like ‘it’s better than an x-box,’ so he’s been making snow ever since,“ said Ruth Ann Pardo, Ramon's mother.
Ramon turned on his snow making machine over the weekend, creating a layer of snow just days before an expected snowstorm hits Northeast Ohio. But why? The answer is pretty simple. It’s because he can and he enjoys it.
“He knows what the humidity is like," said Ruth Ann. "He knows what the temperature needs to be. He’s just really into it.”
Despite having to possibly take out the shovel, mom doesn’t mind the added snow.
“I mean, hey, it’s better than a lot of options that a 17-year-old can be doing.”
