A Twinsburg Township man was arrested for downloading and viewing child pornography after contacting police to avoid a scam from the website.

According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office, Julius Mays, 22, visited a child porn site and entered his personal information in order to download the website's content.

The next day, Mays received an email demanding he send $5,000 to the site, or else he'd be reported to police.

Mays went to police, who contacted the sheriff's department.

After an investigation, Mays confessed to downloading child pornography from the site, as well as other websites.

Mays was arrested and booked on charges of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. Additional charges are pending.
