It's been sixteen months since U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott formed the Cold Case Unit. He immediately appointed Deputy U.S. Marshal David Siler to head up the unit.

The unit's purpose is to find fugitives who've been on the run for decades.

In its first year, the unit managed to solve six cases and bring three living fugitives to justice.

WKYC Channel 3's Monica Robins reports how that accomplishment got national attention for the deputy marshal in charge.
