What's the 'buzz' in Medina County in the village of Spencer?

As the buzzards of Hinckley return in the spring, so do truckloads of honeybees from California.

Queen Right Colonies in Medina County is abuzz with beekeepers from all around. Bee keeping has become very popular in our area over the last 10 years.

Many keep bees for the honey and beeswax, while others try to do their part in helping bee colonies survive.

Bee colonies have been decimated by the Varroa Mites for the last few years.

Many people don’t realize that without pollinators, your back yard gardens would not bear any fruit.
