If you've watched TV over the past week, you may have noticed a growing trend.

People on camera suddenly freeze, right in the middle of what they're doing.

So what exactly are they doing? They're "mannequining."

The #MannequinChallenge started with high school students and has found its way across social media, grabbing celebrities such as Kevin Hart, Steph Curry and the New York Giants.

It involves people stopping mid-action in a dramatic pose.

ESPN's GameDay attempted to pull it off with its crowd of students Saturday and the TODAY Show staff was seen doing it Monday morning:

We don't know if the #MannequinChallenge is for some sort of good cause, like the Ice Bucket Challenge was. We also don't know how long one is expected to hold their pose to meet the so-called challenge.

What we do know is that the internet loves it:
