Parma Heights mother charged with child endangerment due to 'deplorable conditions' inside home

Samaria Kyle's four children, ranging in age from 7 months to 7 years, were found 'disheveled, dirty, and appearing to be hungry.'

A Parma Heights mother is facing four counts of child endangerment as well as disturbing the peace after officers discovered she and her children were living in terrible conditions.

Officers were called to the apartment of 25-year-old Samaria Kyle in the early morning hours on Friday. A neighbor discovered Kyle laying on the ground incoherent while her children were screaming around her. She was found so highly intoxicated by police that she could not speak without slurring her words.

Police then walked into Kyle's apartment and found what they called 'deplorable conditions.' Clothing, papers, bags, food, garbage, and dirty dishes were everywhere. A sleeve of a child's shirt was burning from the ash of a nearby cigarette. Officers believe that the burning shirt would have eventually caused a fire.

Kyle's four children, ranging in age from 7 months to 7 years, were found 'disheveled, dirty, and appearing to be hungry.' The children were placed into the custody of their grandparents.

A preliminary hearing for Kyle is set for December 27 in Parma Municipal Court.
