The Cuyahoga County Democratic party is rescheduling this Saturday's meeting of the executive committee to screen county executive candidates.

The meeting was to be held Saturday morning in the Double Tree hotel. The executive committee was to screen county executive candidates to decide which if any candidates it would recommend the party endorse.

Saturday's meeting is canceled because many members will be attending the funeral of Arnold Pinkney, a prominent local businessman and political strategist who died Monday.

The meeting will be rescheduled for either Sunday, Jan. 26, or Wednesday, Jan 29. That decision will be announced at a later date.

The party is expected to make its endorsement in early February.
