Early voting began on Wednesday across the state of Ohio.

There was plenty of pomp and circumstance outside of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. The Shaw High School Marching Band performed across the street at the First United Methodist Church.

More than 1,100 people showed up to cast their ballots.

“We had a great opening day and voting went very smoothly even when there was a steady stream
of voters they were all issued ballots within minutes,” said Pat McDonald, Director of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Remember, if you are going to vote early, you must have identification with you, such as a driver's license.
