LAS VEGAS — Keep an eye out for Ken Bone’s red sweater during tonight’s debate coverage.
The superstar of the 2016 presidential election — who rose to fame when he asked a question about energy policy during the second presidential debate — will be “covering” the third presidential debate for Jimmy Kimmel Live!
“I’m going to be taking notes and pretending that I’m a real journalist like you and doing my very best,” Bone told USA TODAY on the phone Wednesday. “I’m sure there will be a comedic element.”
Bone brought two red sweaters to Las Vegas to be able to sport it during all of his events, but tonight you can expect him to be wearing the same sweater he wore to last Sunday’s debate.
“I got a near-replica to wear to a cocktail party last night because I was afraid I’d spill on it,” Bone said.
Who is Bone planning on voting for?
“I want to see what happens tonight after the debate,” Bone said, adding that he hopes that tonight the candidates will actually discuss the issues rather than attack each other.
But Bone isn’t getting his hopes up. When USA TODAY asked whether he thought the candidates would avoid attacks, he responded: “No, I don’t.”
