Dennis Kucinich on why he should be Ohio’s next governor: Interview with Tom Beres

Who will be Ohio's next governor?

In continuing his series of interviews with Ohio's gubernatorial candidates, former WKYC chief political correspondent Tom Beres is sitting down with Dennis Kucinich at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

The interview is taking place from the University of Akron's Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics.

Here's what Kucinich had to say when asked what Ohio's biggest problem is: “There is no single biggest problem. It’s job creation. It’s getting rid of assault weapons. It’s ending fracking and preserving our water. Protecting clean water, this is our greatest asset and our resource. We have to protect it, and I’m dedicated to doing that by stopping the fracking and stopping these deep injection wells.”

WKYC streamed the interview, which you can watch in its entirety within the player above.

Kucinich, who served as a senator and Cleveland’s mayor, also campaigned to be President of the United States in the 2004 and 2008 elections.

He entered the Ohio governor race in January. Akron Councilwoman Tara Samples is his running mate.
