CLEVELAND -- It's was years in the making, but now Cleveland has landed a major political convention.

But getting the RNC to come to town took tons of hard work.

One of the Cleveland leaders who played a critical role in convincing the Republicans to come here is David Gilbert, president of Positively Cleveland and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.

Gilbert joined WKYC's Senior Political Correspondent, Tom Beres, to discuss with our Jim Donovan what was key to landing the RNC and what lies ahead.
