Senator Sherrod Brown was busy part of Monday morning, working his phone at Hillary Clinton's Shaker Square campaign headquarters.

His mission: calling senior voters and urging them to vote early.

Brown called Clinton the most qualified person to run for president "since Eisenhower."

He said Donald Trump is the least qualified person to run for president in his lifetime, adding he had a lack of experience, integrity and has an "inability to tell the truth."

He admitted Hillary Clinton "could be a little more transparent " on some issues .

"You'd have questions raised in almost anybody's life if you saw their personal e-mails," he said.

Brown is a former Ohio Secretary of State who was responsible for the state's elections.

He said Trump's claims that the election is being "rigged," adding "dangers for our election system our country and our's one of the most irresponsible things."

He spoke about legislation he is sponsoring to help victims of misbehavior by financial institutions and credit card companies in wake of the Wells Fargo scandal, where thousands of customers had accounts opened that they did not ask for.

Right now, those disputes must be settled by arbitration.

Brown's legislation would empower customers to sue to recover losses and damage to their credit rating.

Brown recently moved into the city of Cleveland.

As a Cleveland resident, he strongly supports both the renewal of the school levy and a hike in the income tax.

He is a passionate Cleveland Indians fan.

His prediction for the ALCS is "Tribe in 5" because of "great pitching, great bullpen and good enough hitting."
