U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, of Massachusetts, was joined by former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland and actor John Lithgow campaigning for Hillary Clinton at Cleveland State University..
Warren was "laying out the stakes of November's election for millennial voters," according to her press release.
The event, one of two put on by the Ohio Democratic Party in Ohio this weekend, Warren emphasized Clinton's plans to make free community college and debt-free college available to all Americans, while urging Ohioans to register to vote ahead of the October 11 deadline.
According to Warren and a press release from Hillary for Ohio, Clinton's New College Compact plan would have 150,000 Ohio students not paying tuition for a four-year college degree. Clinton's plan allows families with incomes up to $125,000 -- more than 89 percent of Ohio households -- to pay no tuition at in-state public colleges and universities."
Lithgow was born in Rochester, N.Y. but spent his teenage years in Akron and Lakewood.
