A 16-year-old girl is dead after a traffic crash Saturday afternoon shortly before 1 p.m.
At the intersection of State Route 19 and CR 34, just south of Green Springs, a 16-year-old was driving a Dodge Stratus westbound on CR 34 and approaching the intersection at SR 19 when the driver of the Dodge ran a stop sign and struck a Ford F-150.
There were three people in the Dodge, two 16-year-olds and one 17-year-old.
One of the 16-year-olds, from Clyde, Ohio, sustained fatal injuries from the crash.
The 17-year-old was life flighted to Saint Vincent's Hospital and is in critical condition, and the other 16-year-old was transported to Fireland Hospital by ambulance.
In the Ford F-150, 28-year-old Jacob Lipstraw, from Oak Harbor, Ohio, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Tiffin Hospital.
Several different agencies assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol in this crash, including the Seneca County Sheriff's Department, the coroner's office, Green Springs Police and Fire, North Central EMS, Sandusky County EMS, Tiffin Fire Rescue Division EMS, Seneca County ODOT, and a towing service.
