The National Weather Service has Issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning for the following Northeast Ohio counties:
The warning is expected to be in effect all weekend, not expiring until roughly 4 a.m. on Sunday. While only about 1 to 3 inched of snow is expected tonight, accumulations could bring that total to around 6 to 9 inches by Sunday, with some areas possible seeing close to a foot of snow. Parking bans are also in place in Painesville and Chesterland.
Additionally, the NWS has also issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Cuyahoga County, bringing total accumulations in that area to as much as 4 to 8 inches. Residents and drivers are asked to exercise caution.
