LAKE COUNTY -- After lane closures and delays for approximately one hour, authorities have reopened all travel on I-90 West at state Route 528.

The area had been closed due to multiple crashes in the area.

Dispatchers tell WKYC the crashes are the result of a police chase involving Pennsylvania State Police that crossed into Ohio.

A Highway Patrol deputy says that, about 10:10 a.m. this morning, a man robbed the First National Bank on Route 19 in Erie County, Pennsylvania.

He took off and state troopers spotted him in the western part of the county and he took off onto I-90, driving sometimes in excess of 100 mph.

As he entered into Ohio, Ohio Highway Patrol took over. The suspect eventually crashed and was not injured. No one was hurt and the suspect was taken into custody.

All lanes of I-90 West were initially closed for approximately 30 minutes starting around 11:30 a.m.
