Finalists announced for 2021 Greater Cleveland Sports Awards

The annual fundraiser will air on WKYC Channel 3 and WKYC.com on Thursday, March 4.

Eight days ahead of the 2021 Greater Cleveland Sports Awards, the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission has announced the finalists for the event.

Altogether, 17 area athletes will be recognized during this year's fundraiser, which will air on WKYC Channel 3 and WKYC.com at 7 p.m.ET on Thursday, March 4. The show will be hosted by 3News' Jay Crawford, with presentations and interviews by 3News' Jim Donovan.

The categories and finalists for this year's award are as follows:

Male High School Athlete of the Year presented by University Hospitals Sports Medicine

Female High School Athlete of the Year presented by University Hospitals Sports Medicine

Male Collegiate Athlete of the Year presented by H. Jack's Plumbing & Heating Co. "The Super Plumber!"

  • Camryn BrownHigh Point University, Basketball (Revere High School)

Professional Athlete of the Year presented by SportsTime Ohio

As previously announced, Vermilion High School senior Camryn Colahan will be honored with the Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine Courage Award. Additionally, the Humanitarian of the Year presented by Union Home Mortgage and Best Moment in Cleveland Sports presented by JACK Entertainment will also be announced.
