CLEVELAND -- The boys are back in town!

The Cleveland Indians host their 2017 home opener at Progressive Field on Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox.

WKYC is airing special extended coverage throughout the day to celebrate baseball's return to Cleveland.

We kick things off early Tuesday with the morning team live at Progressive Field from 4:30-7 a.m.

At 1 p.m. you can catch our opening day special before Indians Live begins at 2:30 p.m.

Carlos Carrasco is on the mound for the Indians against pitcher James Shields for the White Sox.

The Indians opened the 2017 season with a three-game sweep against the Texas Rangers, before dropping three in a row to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
