CLEVELAND -- Despite their Game 7 loss Wednesday to the Chicago Cubs, the city of Cleveland is gushing their thanks to the Indians for carrying us this far.

“Great season, @Indians!!!” Cleveland Police tweeted. “We are proud of you! #RallyTogether #Cleveland.”

After going well past midnight into extra innings, the Cubs prevailed 8-7 to claim their first World Series championship since 1908.

On Facebook, we’re asking Cleveland fans to help us say thanks to the Tribe for such a fun ride.
