CLEVELAND -- Most home runs last less than six seconds. But the thrill of getting one over the fence can make it feel like forever.

It's these seconds that Baldwin Wallace Physics Professor Ed Meyer studies.

In 1990, the Indians called Meyer for some input on where to place the Home Run Porch at the new stadium.

Now as Progressive Field celebrates 20 years, it seems to have been a sweet spot. There were 165 homeruns at Progressive Field just last season.

Dr. Meyer talked with WKYC Channel 3's Sara Shookman about the science behind the home run.
