Cleveland Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer had quite a night Monday.
Actually, it's been quite a week. First, Bauer had to miss his scheduled start Saturday because he cut his finger plugging in his drone.
Then Bauer's start was pushed to Sunday for Game 3 in Toronto. Yahoo Sports' Jeff Passan reports that Bauer asked the Indians medical and coaching staff if he could burn his wound shut. The answer was a firm, 'No,' meaning Bauer had to take the hill with only stitches in his wound.
Bauer made it 2/3 of an inning before the blood dripping from his finger became more noticeable than many viewers would have preferred. Bauer was forced to leave the game and as he returned to the Indians' dugout, Toronto fans cheered, despite his gruesome injury.
But Bauer had a response to Blue Jays fans:
Bauer's gesture refers to the Indians being 3-0 in the ALCS, meaning they need one more win to reach the World Series.
