Opening Day is finally here!

The Cleveland Indians begin the home portion of their schedule this afternoon at Progressive Field as they play host to the Kansas City Royals. First pitch is at 4:10.

While we prepare for baseball, there are plenty of sights and sounds going on here at the ballpark on this unofficial Cleveland holiday.

Dave DeNatale and Matt Florjancic hosted a special digital preview that you can watch below.

We are also being joined today by the winner of our WKYC Superfan contest, Anthony DiPiero.

When the guys finished up with the digital show, they gave way to our Channel 3 Tribe pregame show featuring Russ Mitchell, Sara Shookman, Jim Donovan, and Betsy Kling:

We also caught photos of the teams taking batting practice and of the pregame festivities:

As we got closer to game time, the two teams lined up along the baselines for pregame introductions. Corey Kluber was recognized for winning his 2nd Cy Young Award, while Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez received their Silver Slugger Awards. We have those photos below, plus pictures of Olympic gold medalist Red Gerard throwing out the first pitch.
