NBA and Cleveland Cavaliers to unveil Mindfulness Learning Space at Earle B. Turner Neighborhood Resource Center

The new learning space will be unveiled on Wednesday, June 15, at 10:15 a.m.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, city of Cleveland and Sherwin-Williams are set to unveil the newest Cavs Care Legacy Project, the Mindfulness Learning Space at Earle B. Turner Neighborhood Resource Center. 

The unveiling of the Mindfulness Learning Space will take place this morning at 10:15 a.m., at the Earle B. Turner Neighborhood Resource Center. 

Today's event is one of eight that the NBA and Cleveland Cavaliers are hosting with a focus on local community organizations promoting health, wellness and social impact.

The learning center was created in partnership with the NBA as part of the NBA Live, Learn or Play initiative celebrating the league's 75th season. Officials say it will provide a safe and quiet area for community members to enjoy. 

Prior to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Cavaliers executives, City of Cleveland officials, including Mayor Justin Bibb and Cleveland Parks and Rec executives, are set to make remarks about the grand opening.

Cleveland Cavaliers CEO Nic Barlage, Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish, Council President Blaine Griffin, Councilman - Ward 2 Kevin L. Bishop, Councilman - Ward 1 Joe Jones, Director of Public Works Frank Williams and Earle B. Turner Neighborhood Resource Center Site Manager Eric Smith will all be in attendance at the event. 

At the end of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, youth in attendance will be invited to participate in a youth basketball clinic led by Cavs Youth Basketball coaches.
