Game preview

While the Browns are still off to their best start since the 2001 season with a 4-2 record, last week's 38-7 to the Steelers left a sour taste in their mouth. Even quarterback Baker Mayfield admitted "4-2 has never felt so much like 0-6," especially since Cleveland's two losses this season have come by a combined score of 76-13.

But while the Browns have struggled against Pittsburgh and the Baltimore Ravens, they already lay claim to a win over the Bengals, who they beat 35-30 in Cleveland in Week 2. While No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow has continued to improve, Cincinnati enters Sunday with a 1-4-1 record and could provide the perfect opponent for the Browns to bounce back against.

Prediction

The Bengals' passing game possesses firepower, but the absence of star running back Joe Mixon (foot) could threaten to make them one dimensional. And while there seem to be more questions than ever about Mayfield's viability as a franchise quarterback, if there's one thing he's proven in his three seasons in the NFL, it's that he's capable of beating the Bengals, who he lays claim to a 4-1 record with.

The Browns score early and are able to play from ahead while Myles Garrett wreaks havoc in the Cincinnati backfield.

Final score: Browns 34, Bengals 28
