CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Browns have announced their preseason schedule, and they get games for the 2017 season underway in mid-August.

The Browns will begin the 2017 preseason with a home game against the New Orleans Saints in Week 1 (between August 10 and 14) and follow it up with a Monday Night Football contest against the New York Giants at FirstEnergy Stadium on August 21.

The Browns will play their final two preseason games on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (between August 24 and 27) and Chicago Bears (either August 31 or September).

The Browns last played the Saints in the preseason in 1982. Cleveland defeated New Orleans, 20-17, on the way to a 4-0 slate in the preseason.

Additionally, the Browns last played against the Giants during the 2008 preseason, when more than 79,200 fans watched the game at The Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Browns have never hosted the Saints in the preseason and last welcomed the Giants to Cleveland for an exhibition game during the 2005 season.
For the third straight year, the Browns’ dress rehearsal game will come against the Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The Browns defeated the Buccaneers, 31-7, during the 2015 preseason, but suffered a lopsided loss last August.

The Bears and Browns will end the preseason against each other for the 14th consecutive season, with Chicago holding a 7-6 edge in those most recent games. All-time, the Browns lead the preseason series with the Bears, 19-13.
