The Cleveland Browns have received LB Jamie Collins from the New England Patriots in exchange for a compensatory third round pick, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

The Browns confirmed the move Monday afternoon.
Collins was a second round pick in the Patriots' 2013 draft and 2015 Pro Bowler. He was scheduled to be a free agent following this season.
This season, Collins has started six games, recording one sack and a pair of interceptions. He had three tackles and a forced fumble during New England's Oct. 9 game against Cleveland.
