Joe Burrow offered free Raising Cane's for life by founder

Shortly after the Cincinnati Bengals selected him with the No. 1 overall pick, Joe Burrow was offered free Raising Cane's for life.

On Thursday night, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Joe Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

As it turns out, the former LSU quarterback's big night was just getting started.

Shortly after the Bengals made what had long been assumed official, the Athens, Ohio, native received a tweet from the founder and CEO of Raising Cane's, Todd Graves. Congratulating Burrows on his big day, the founder of the Louisiana based national fast-food chain offered the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner free Raising Cane's for life.

"Congrats Jeaux! So happy for you. #1! Free @Raising_Canes for Life for you @Joe_Burrow10," Graves wrote. "And thanks for the epic Cane’s Sauce quote."

Burrow gave the quote about Cane's signature sauce that Graves was referring to during an interview with Bleacher Report's Matt Hayes prior to the start of his record-breaking 2019 campaign.

"I didn't consciously try to be someone different," Burrow says. "A lot of coaches try to tell people what kind of leader they should be, but everybody is kind of their own leader. Tom Brady's leadership isn't the same as Matt Ryan's. Everyone has their own secret sauce. You can't steal someone else's secret sauce. If Burger King tried to make Cane's sauce, it would be crap.

"Everyone has their own. You just have to find yours."

Leading LSU to a 15-0 record and a College Football Playoff championship, Burrow completed 76.3 percent of his passes for 5,671 yards, 60 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 2019.
