Mr. Science Jason Lindsey shares cool experiments you can try with your kids this weekend

This. Is. Cool.

CLEVELAND — Seriously... Put down your phone, turn off the TV and do something different this weekend with your kids.

Need some ideas? You're in luck because Mr. Science -- aka Jason Lindsey -- dropped by the wkyc studios Friday morning to share some of the coolest experiments that your kids will absolutely love.

The first one he showed us was how to make an indoor tornado -- and it's super cool. You can watch how it works in the video player at the top of this story.

He also shared two more experiments (watch in the player below) that are very easy to do with your kids at home. One involves making an indoor "snow storm," while the other involves a "daring" water experiment with one very brave participant.

Mr. Science, who has been featured on NBC's Today show, is appearing at the Sandusky Mall on Saturday, Feb. 1 with two show times at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
