Lake effect snow is expected to make its way to Northeast Ohio starting Saturday afternoon, and the Ohio Dept. of Transportation is getting its crews ready to go.

Starting at noon today, Cuyahoga, Lake, and Geauga Counties (ODOT District 12) have been fully staffed with 80 snowplows, which will remain in the area until the storm passes.

In addition, those driving on I-90 between State Routes 44 and 528 in Lake County should watch out for reduced speed limits based on weather and road conditions. Flashing signs will be up along the highway to alert motorists of such changes.

Please check the District 12 Facebook and Twitter pages (as well as WKYC) for any further updates.
