It’s official.
The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado hit Oakwood and Glenwillow in Cuyahoga County during Sunday’s storms.
“Several healthy trees were snapped/uprooted along the damage path,” the National Weather Service tweeted Monday.
Weather officials say the tornado lasted approximately five minutes between 3:23-3:28 p.m. It had peak winds of 90 mph with a path that stretched 2.04 miles. Its maximum width is estimated at 150 yards.
The NWS later confirmed a pair of EF-1 tornadoes hit Trumbull County.
The first happened at 4:11 p.m. in Southington and lifted in Warren. The tornado traveled 13.41 miles and reached peak winds at 100 miles per hour. Its maximum width is estimated at 250 yards.
The second tornado touched down at 4:44 p.m. just east of Vienna and north of Route 82. The tornado, which lasted seven minutes, tracked nearly six miles east across Brookfield and lifted in West Hill with peak winds of 95 mph.
Nobody was hurt.
