Temperatures will drop to more seasonable levels across much of the Northeast tomorrow in the wake of a front.

Showers and a few thunderstorms will stretch from New England to the mid-Atlantic coast and southern Appalachians as the front exits the coast.

A moist flow of air off the Atlantic Ocean is forecast to trigger spotty showers over South Florida. Most areas from the interior Northeast to the middle and upper Mississippi Valley will be dry this day.

Meanwhile, another round of severe thunderstorms is expected to target western Kansas to eastern New Mexico and West Texas. Rain and thunderstorms will soak a portion of the Midwest, as storms dot East Texas and the lower Mississippi Valley.

Disruptive rain and mountain snow will span Northern California to Washington, as the rest of the West stays dry.
