A broad area of high pressure will promote dry and tranquil conditions for much of the eastern half of the country tomorrow.

Mild air will make a comeback across the Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic after an unseasonably cold end to the week. Light snow could fall across New England as cold lingers to the north. Gusty, southwesterly winds will pull warmth northward across the Central states.

Warm, dry and windy conditions may lead to a high fire danger across the southern Plains. Showers will expand into Southern California and inland to the central Rockies. Snow could continue to lead to difficult travel across the Sierra Nevada.

Gusty winds in the absence of rain may cause areas of blowing dust and reduced visibility in Southern California, southern Nevada and Arizona.
